Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse dedicated to delivering compassionate patient care to join the University Hospital of Northern BC.

Reporting to the Manager or designate, the staff nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care activities within the framework of quality management and hospital standards. The role is defined by the needs of the Hospital, patient/family population, agency expectations, and professional nursing standards.

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work: Days, Evenings, 06:00 to 14:00, 08:30 to 16:30, 09:00 to 17:00, 10:00 to 18:00, 11:00 to 19:00, 12:00 to 20:00 (rotating)

About UHNBC

The University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) is the largest Acute Care facility in the Northern Health region and a hub for specialized health services. It also serves as a teaching hospital:

  • Provides undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program, run by UBC and UNBC.
  • Hosts residents in UBC's Family Practice Residency Program.
  • Is a key clinical education site for nursing and health sciences students at UNBC, College of New Caledonia, BCIT, and others.

Qualifications

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN.
