Job summary

Interior Health in Penticton, BC is seeking an experienced Public Health Registered Nurse to join our team at the Penticton Health Centre. This casual role supports population health with nursing care across communities, schools, homes and outreach sites.

Shifts are days, Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30; travel is required and hours per week are on an as-needed basis (0–37.5). Join a dynamic, fast-paced team focused on health promotion and illness prevention.

• Inherent in the role are knowledge, skills and abilities specific to health promotion, epidemiology, community development, primary health care, social determinants of health and illness, and disease and injury prevention

About The Job

The Public Health Nurse (PHN), as an integral member of the Public Health Services team:

• Provides nursing services within the framework of the Population Health/Health Promotion model

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days, Monday to Friday with the hours being 08:30 to 16:30.

Travel is a requirement for this position and transportation arrangements must meet the Employer's requirements.
