Job Overview

RWJBH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Emergency Room Unit at the New Brunswick campus.

Qualifications

Required:

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• PALS through American Heart Association
• BLS through American Heart Association
• ACLS through American Heart Association
• 3 to 5 years of pediatric RN experience

Preferred:

• BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
• Pediatric RN experience highly preferred
• 2 years of Pediatric ER or Adult ER
• TNCC preferred

Certifications and Licenses

• BLS and ACLS certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Scheduling Requirements

• Day Shift, 36 hrs 7a-7:30pm

Essential Functions

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring ethical standards as per ANA code of ethics.
• Maintain safety and evidence-based practice principles, advancing personal and team knowledge.
• Report safety issues and medical errors promptly.
• Understand the patient population served.
• Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately, collaborating with the care team.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes for improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to individualize patient care plans.
