Overview

A multi-physician practice located in Hamilton is looking for a Registered Nurse. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. Position will be 5 days per week.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be essential in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of patients in a primary healthcare setting. Strong leadership and communication skills are vital as you collaborate with healthcare professionals to create a supportive environment for patients and their families. Responsibilities
  • Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provide medical advice and triaging over the phone for patients
  • Provide assistance to the physician as needed
  • Provide Prenatal care
  • Well women exam/care
  • Well baby well child assessments (Rourke/WHO guidelines)
  • Wound care/suture and staple removal
  • Administration of injections (immunizations, hormones, allergy, B12 etc.)
  • Current preventative health guidelines (flu shots, mammograms, pap smears, colon cancer screening)
  • Develop and maintain respectful, cooperative working relationships to contribute to the integrated, seamless delivery of services.
  • Work as a team member in a multi-disciplinary setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and leadership skills
  • Experience with electronic documentation preferred
Qualifications
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively
  • Current College of Nurses of Ontario Registration required
  • Strong assessment and triaging skills
  • Professional liability protection (PLP) RNAO
