Job summary

Northern Health - BC in Fort St. John is seeking a Registered Nurse - Perinatal to deliver compassionate obstetrical care to patients during intra-, postpartum and high-risk antepartum periods.

Working with an inter-professional team, you will provide, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care in accordance with BC CNO standards and patient- and family-centered care principles, with rotating 07:00–19:00 and 19:00–07:00 shifts.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in British Columbia.
• Perinatal care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct obstetrical patient care during intra/postpartum and high-risk antepartum periods.
• Collaborate with an inter-professional team to plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care.

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the Fort St. John Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Registered Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.

The Registered Nurse - Perinatal, working collaboratively with the inter-professional team, plans and provides direct patient care to obstetrical patients during the intra, postpartum and high-risk antepartum periods and other assigned patients by assessing, planning, providing and evaluating nursing care. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)
