Job description

Join to apply for the Registered Nurse (RN) - Komoka role at RhynoCare Staffing Solutions.

We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to start work as soon as possible in the Komoka area.

Shifts: early morning, afternoon, evening, overnight with consistent hours and a set schedule until further notice.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RN.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
  • Ensure a timely and accessible admission for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services.
  • Ensure resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
  • Manage supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, following protocols on all shifts.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Effective, compassionate, and supportive interaction with others.
  • Respect for residents' individuality, privacy, and involvement in care decisions.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, including the Long Term Care Act, Health Disciplines Act, and others.
  • Medical clearance (e.g., TB tests), Vulnerable Sector Police Check, and Criminal Record check.
  • Proof of vaccination, adherence to COVID-19 protocols, and mask-wearing at all times.
