Position Summary

Financial Support for Moving Expenses is available for this position. Do you have a passion for nursing? We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication to delivering compassionate patient care to join our ICU department.

Under the direction of the Manager, Med / Surg; ICU; In-patients, the RN is responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients presenting in the ICU Unit.

Shift Rotation / Hours of work : Days, Nights - 07 : 00 to 19 : 00, 19 : 00 to 07 : 00.

New Wage : As of April 1, 2024, the new wage is : $41.42 - $55.91 / hour.

Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre is a 46-bed hospital with 115 residential care beds in the adjoining Peace Villa Care Home. They have two state-of-the-art operating rooms, ambulatory clinics including cancer care and hemodialysis, emergency and ICU, and a birthing centre with single maternity rooms for labour, delivery, and post-partum.

Qualifications :

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
• Current C.P.R., I.V. Therapy and Blood Glucose Monitor and Ventilator Certificates mandatory.
• In-house Coronary Care Course Certificate or equivalent.
• One (1) year full-time recent experience in intensive care.

• Demonstrated competency in using equipment and supplies in I.C.U. such as Cardiac Monitors, Blood Pressure and Oxygen Saturation Monitors and Electrocardiograph machines.
