Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Home Health team at Chase Diagnostic Treatment Centre in Chase, BC. You will assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate nursing care for clients in a community setting, developing care plans and delivering direct care.

Working in a dynamic, fast-paced clinic/home health environment, you will perform nursing assessments, wound and device care, and collaborate with other health-care professionals.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with BCCNM.
  • Candidates must hold a valid B.C. driver’s license.
  • Use of a personal vehicle may be required.

Responsibilities

About the Job

The Registered Nurse: Supports the client’s achievement of safe, realistic, and reasonable goals by assessing, planning, coordinating, organizing, implementing, evaluating and transitioning nursing and other care services for the client Develops, implements and adapts a care plan, delivers direct care, assesses service eligibility and provides care management to help clients manage their own care and navigate through the various services available within the community setting Enhances quality of life for the client and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice Maintains and advances own clinical competence Participates on designated committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.

Home Health Clinics position (Nursing Short Term) provide hands on care provision for clients in a clinic setting. Duties include, but are not limited to, nursing assessments and interventions, simple and complex wound care, tube and drain care, compression therapy, negative pressure wound therapy, IVAD maintenance care, burn care, case management. The population is varied and includes all ages.

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days from 08:00 to 16:00 hours. Facility is open 7 days a week.
