Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Hemodialysis team at Penticton Regional Hospital. This casual position offers opportunities to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on patient-centered care.

Shifts are scheduled from 07:00 to 19:00, with an emphasis on collaboration within an interdisciplinary team and ongoing professional development. This role requires BC nursing registration and relevant nephrology experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Completion of a recognized nephrology nursing certificate program plus two years recent related general duty nursing experience; OR one year recent related critical care nursing experience; OR one year hemodialysis nursing experience.
  • Current BCLS certification required. Valid BC Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in a primary care setting.
  • Operates in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Ensures the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.
  • Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days from 07:00 to 19:00 hours.

Qualfications
