Qualifications

Position Summary

Financial Support for Moving Expenses is available for this position

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication to delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Mills Memorial Hospital.

Provides and coordinates nursing care according to current standards of nursing practice and the Clinical Specialty of Critical Care & Emergency Care Nursing. Clinical experience to independently work in Emergency is required.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work:

Days, Nights - 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00, rotating

New Wage

As of April 1, 2024, the new wage is: $41.42 - $55.91/hour

Ksyen Regional Hospital

The new Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients on November 24, 2024. More than double the size of the previous hospital, the facility features 82 beds, private rooms, and is a centre for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. The hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.

Terrace Community

Qualifications
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Minimum two (2) years of medical/surgical experience and/or Post Diploma Certificate in Critical Care and/or Emergency Nursing and/or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants without formal Emergency/Critical Care Training and/or equivalent experience will be expected to enroll in an Emergency or Critical Care Course within 6 months of employment.
  • CPR (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification or willingness to complete within 1 year.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to manage all equipment appropriate for care in critical and acute care units.
  • Physical ability to perform duties.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to assist in orientation of new personnel.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills.
