Interior Health Authority invites experienced Registered Nurses to join the Emergency Department at Nicola Valley Health Centre in Merritt, BC. This permanent part-time position (0.74) offers rotation between day and night shifts from 07:00–19:15 and 19:00–07:15, with opportunities for professional growth and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as RN in British Columbia (or eligible)
• Emergency Nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork abilities

• Advise, consult, and collaborate with other health care professionals
• Demonstrate evidence-based practice and maintain clinical competence
• Participate in hospital committees or approved research projects as assigned

• Provides nursing care to emergency patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice

• Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned

About this location/unit

The Nicola Valley Health Centre has an 11 bed ER and sees 50-60 patients a day. The Emergency department is open 24/7 with 2 RNs in the ER.
