Job description

Join to apply for the Registered Nurse (RN) - Elmira role at RhynoCare Staffing Solutions.

We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to start work as soon as possible in the Elmira area.

Shifts: early morning, afternoon, evening, overnight with consistent hours and a set schedule until further notice.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RN.
  2. Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
  3. Ensure a timely and accessible admission for residents, including a comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
  4. Ensure resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
  5. Manage supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, following protocols on all shifts.
  6. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
  2. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  3. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  4. Basic computer proficiency.
  5. Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  6. Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  7. Effective, compassionate, and supportive interpersonal skills.
  8. Respect for residents' dignity, privacy, and participation in care decisions.
  9. Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, including the Long Term Care Act, Health Disciplines Act, and others.
  10. Medical clearance (including TB tests), Vulnerable Sector Police Check, and Criminal Record check.
  11. Proof of vaccination, adherence to COVID-19 protocols, and mask-wearing at all times.
