Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a part-time nursing supervisor to help ensure high-quality care for residents in our long-term care home in Canada. You will oversee nursing and personal care staff, implement care plans, and ensure compliance with standards and physician orders.

You will have a current certificate of competence and be eligible for provincial registration, with prior experience in community or long-term care.

Qualifications

  • Current certificate of competence from the Approved Institutions for the province.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Approved Institutions for the province.
  • Experience in Community or long-term care with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team, to prioritize tasks in order of urgency.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and comprehension skills.
  • Developed creative problem-solving skills to look at the "big picture".

  • Previous similar experience in Community or long-term care, with comprehensive knowledge of duties

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and comprehension skills
  • Developed creative problem-solving skills to look at the "big picture"
