Job summary

Northern Health in Terrace is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to join Terraceview Lodge. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, delivering resident-centered care and supporting families.

The role follows BC College of Nurses and Midwives standards and aims to respond to changing health care needs. Shifts include days, evenings and nights with rotating hours.

Qualifications

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant.
• Post - basic education in gerontology an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan resident care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implement and evaluate nursing care according to standards and ethics.
• Respond to changing health care needs and support residents and families.
• Promote resident-centered care and use evidence-based practice.
• Demonstrate nursing knowledge and critical thinking in clinical settings.
