Job summary

Weeneebayko Area Health Authority is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a hospital/clinic setting. You will assist clinicians, deliver education, monitor patient status, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan and evaluate care.

The role includes community program development, disease screening, and immunization delivery, with opportunities for research and home care management. Relocation support is available and a permanent position is offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent nursing experience.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of nursing experience.
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the applicable province or territory.
  • ACLS, BCLS, CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
  • Relocation is supported by the employer and capable to work in a hospital/clinic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments.
  • Engage in community program development and health education.
  • Monitor patients and inform physicians of clinical changes.
  • Conduct disease screening and administer immunizations as prescribed.
  • Provide nursing care and supervise licensed practical nurses and other staff.
  • Operate medical equipment and document patient conditions accurately.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary health team and families.
  • Engage in research activities related to nursing and home care management.
  • Participate in community needs assessments and program development.
  • Ensure documentation and compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Conduct disease screening

  • Deliver immunization programs
  • Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
  • Engage in research activities related to nursing
