Hamilton Health Sciences is one of Canada's largest and most diverse hospitals, providing advanced care and training future health professionals in collaboration with McMaster University and Mohawk College. Located at Hamilton’s downtown core, the Hamilton General Hospital (HGH) is home to the Hamilton Center for Vascular Health (HCVH). As a center of excellence in cardiovascular and stroke care, we service a population of 2.3 million residents. The ICU West is a 16-bed, level 3 tertiary and quaternary unit performing the highest volume of cardiovascular surgical procedures in the province. The Registered Nurse uses a multidisciplinary approach to coordinate and evaluate patient care, treating highly complex patients with advanced modalities such as ECMO, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, and CRRT. The ICU supports the Critical Care Response Team, providing expert care outside the ICU. We are a Royal College Accredited training program affiliated with McMaster University, offering learning opportunities and conducting world-renowned research.
Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. This position is a job share.
