Role Overview

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Nurse will provide high-quality resident care, ensuring the well-being of residents.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and planning resident needs, administering medications, and documenting care in compliance with standards and regulations.

Key Duties

1. Provide Resident Care: Utilize sound nursing principles to ensure excellent care, collaborate on care plans, and communicate with residents and their decision-makers.
2. Supervise and Assist: Demonstrate proficiency with nursing equipment, develop policies, and assess and meet residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
3. Provide Leadership: Serve as a role model, participate in educational activities, and support team learning.

Qualifications

• BScN, BN, or equivalent
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or BC
• Knowledge of geriatric care trends
• Compassionate, dedicated, and effective communicator
• Proficient in English; French skills are an asset
