What You'll Do

Responsible to the Director of Nursing or Administrator for the provision, coordination, implementation, evaluation and supervision of nursing care to the residents of the facility. Delivers care, which is individualized and resident-focused. The registered nurse is required to assist with the planning and development of the activities, which support the effective and efficient management of the nursing department. The registered nurse is expected to work in conjunction with all other departments in terms of care delivery.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience
•Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
•Certificate in Gerontology or Nursing Unit Administration course
•Three to five years experience as a registered nurse, preferably with experience in a long term care setting

Skills & Abilities
•Experience supervising other employees
•Experience with documentation relative to Client Classification
•Skilled in terms of the nursing process in order to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care
•Possession of strong supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills
•Adaptable and flexible
•Possession of good physical and mental health
•Positive, professional demeanor and attitude
•Ability to provide leadership
•Clear criminal background check including vulnerable sector screening
•Two-step TB skin test
