Job summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse for the MD Peds IP unit in Milton. This permanent part-time role (0.60 FTE) involves 12-hour day and night shifts, delivering compassionate care to paediatric patients and their families.

Requirements include current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, BCLS at hire, 2–5 years paediatric acute care experience, and the ability to work in a dynamic team; PALS/NRP are assets and immunization compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• BCLS required at time of hire
• Minimum 2-5 years recent Paediatric experience in an acute setting (e.g. Inpatient unit or Emergency Dept.) required
• PALS certificate an asset
• NRP certification required within 6 months of hire
• Related courses in paediatric nursing preferred
• Venipuncture and IV therapy skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with families
• Breastfeeding certificate required an asset
• Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize.
• Good team player.
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record.

Additional Information

Hours: Various rotating 12 hour days and night shifts - 0730 - 1930, 1930-0730 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs.)

Salary: $41.15 to $58.98 per hour
