Job summary

Brant Community Healthcare System in Brantford and Paris, Ontario, is seeking an OR nurse to provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care within the operating room, PACU, and day surgery.

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will work as scrub or circulating nurse for orthopedic, urology, gynecology, and general surgery, requiring BCLS, perioperative cert, and OR experience. Strong collaboration and patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university nursing program.
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Completion of Perioperative Nursing Certification.
• Current operating room experience preferred.
• Able to perform I.V. starts and venipuncture.
• ACLS certification (preferred).
• CPN(c) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room program.
• Serve as scrub nurse or circulating nurse for major orthopedic, urology, gynecology and general surgery procedures.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
• Establish work relationships with external partners and maintain patient assessment.
• Demonstrate clinical competence across surgical services and settings.

Position Summary

Mandatory Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university nursing program
