Job summary

North Bay Regional Health Centre in North Bay, Ontario, invites applications for a professional Nursing role in the Birthing Unit. The position requires registration, BLS, NRP, and extensive obstetric experience within the last 1–2 years.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration ~ College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (HCP) certificate required (within the last twelve months).
• Minimum 2–3 years experience caring for antenatal, labour, birth, postpartum and newborn patients (within the last 1–2 years) required.
• Certified in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required.
• Current certifications required: IV Therapy, Fetal Health Surveillance, Cervical Examinations, Epidural Care, Breastfeeding Education (WHO Level I), Peri-Operative Role for Caesarean Section (scrub and circulating).
• Commitment to family centered maternity care required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Experience/Knowledge

• Current Certificate of Registration ~ College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing required

• Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.
