The Opportunity

An ICU RN assesses, treats, and promotes health for patients through supportive, therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitative care, adhering to College of Nurses of Ontario standards. The scope includes care for medical, surgical, chronic, pediatric, obstetrical, rehabilitative, and palliative patients, often with complex and unpredictable outcomes.

Self-scheduling is available for part-time nurses.

Qualifications
  • Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Completion of an accredited Critical Care Certification program
  • Current BCLS and ACLS certifications
  • Coronary Care Level 1 or equivalent
  • At least two years of acute care nursing experience, preferably in critical care
  • Commitment to providing a safe, supportive environment
  • Adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Act duties
  • Effective communication skills in English; additional languages are assets
  • Basic computer skills
  • Dedication to professional growth
  • Ability to perform physical duties such as patient transfers and movement
  • Excellent attendance and performance record
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Duties and Responsibilities

As a team member within the RN scope, contribute to patient assessment, treatment, care, and health promotion, following standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Start Date: In line with next hospital orientation

Hours of Work: 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, operating 24/7. Availability for all shifts is expected.

Up to 22.5 hours per week (45/pay period).

Wage: $39.07 - $56.00 per hour
