Job summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking an ICU registered nurse for the OT ICU on a temporary full-time basis. Care of critical medical, surgical, and respiratory patients, with potential charge nurse duties on shift.

You must hold current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, BLS and ACLS certification, and a critical care certificate; 1 year CC experience is an asset. The schedule includes rotating 12-hour shifts, Monday to Sunday.

Qualifications

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Heart & Stroke BLS Provider Card upon hire.
• Heart & Stroke ACLS certification required at time of hire and ongoing.
• Critical Care Certificate required.
• 1 year in the Critical Care setting is an asset.
• Ability to interpret advanced arrhythmias and 12 lead ECG.
• Comfort with monitoring equipment and invasive pressure monitoring.
• Excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
• Strong leadership and assessment skills.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Able to work well under stress.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
