Registered Nurse - Fall 2025 Critical Care Sponsorship - Regular Full-time 2025-13176 (2025-13176)

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is offering to sponsor nurses interested in completing an accredited Critical Care Program. This is an exciting opportunity to diversify your career and develop critical care skills. Selected candidates will receive a conditional offer of full-time employment in one of the following units:

  • Critical Care Unit
  • Medical/Surgical ICU (D4ICU)
  • Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
  • Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
  • Critical Care Nursing Resource Team (CCNRT)
  • Ross Tilley Burn Centre (RTBC)
  • Cardiac Cath Lab

Course Details: Starts Fall 2025. This offer includes your full-time salary during the course and tuition costs. Books and other materials are the candidate's responsibility. Upon successful completion, your orientation plan will depend on staffing needs.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
  • Current BCLS certificate
  • Current Fit Mask Testing
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Completion of nursing consolidation on a Critical Care unit considered
  • Successful completion of the ICU review quiz
  • Commitment to continuing education in the past 2 years, especially related to advanced acute care nursing concepts
  • Participation in organizational initiatives, nursing councils, committees, or quality improvement projects
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and team facilitation skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and handle stressful environments positively
  • Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
