Job Summary:

Applies the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and care planning. Communicates patient/family information effectively, collaborates on patient goals, and evaluates progress. Engages in learning activities aligned with nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborates in care planning and delivery, anticipating patient needs across the continuum.
  2. Analyzes clinical information to determine nursing diagnoses.
  3. Uses the nursing process to evaluate progress and apply interventions.
  4. Promotes health and a safe environment.
  5. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Technical Capabilities:

  • Care Planning (Novice): Anticipates resource needs, manages multiple tasks, adapts to changes, and ensures issues are resolved.
  • Nursing Patient Education (Novice): Provides fundamental patient education.
  • Nursing Patient Assessment & Evaluation (Novice): Conducts interviews, examinations, and gathers clinical data.
  • Evidence-Based Practice (Novice): Searches for clinical evidence under supervision.
