Position Details

An Emergency Department RN assesses, treats, and promotes health for all patients, adhering to standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum one-year recent experience in Acute Care Nursing
• Completion of Coronary Care I and II or equivalent
• Current ACLS Certification
• Completion of Physical Assessment course
• Excellent customer service demeanor and commitment to a safe, supportive environment
• Effective communication skills in English; additional languages are assets
• Basic computer skills and dedication to professional growth
• Ability to perform physical duties such as moving/transferring patients
• Preferred: Current Emergency Nursing Experience, Critical Care/Emergency courses, CTAS, PALS, TNCC training

Responsibilities

Contribute within the RN scope in assessment, treatment, and health promotion, maintaining standards mandated by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
