Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking two Registered Nurses for the Operating Room on a permanent part-time basis. The roles require 3–5 years of OR experience, CNO registration, and a certificate in perioperative nursing.

Positions at Credit Valley Hospital include day, evening, night, weekend and on-call shifts. Applicants should be able to prioritize in emergencies, demonstrate strong communication, teamwork and critical thinking, and maintain a positive attendance

Qualifications

Position Summary

• The successful candidate will meet performance standards established by ORNAC (Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada)
• The successful candidate will continue with contribution to overall surgical operating room team

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of recent or current OR experience required
• Current certification of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required
• Successful completion of a recognized O.R. Certificate course from an approved teaching institution required
• Demonstrated clinical competence in nursing practice
• Certification in sanctioned medical acts and added nursing skills
• Completion of the CAN Certification of Perioperative nursing would be considered an asset
• Current BCLS and CPR Certification required
• Reliable and flexible individual to work as part of a diverse work team
• Ability to think critically and effectively in order to prioritize needs in emergency situations
• Highly effective decision making, problem solving and organizational skills combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Positive attendance and work record essential
