Edmonton Zone Continuing Care provides services through five main program areas: Home Living, Supportive Living, Facility Living, Transition Services, and Palliative Care. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Home Living team to deliver professional support services in clients' homes across all ages and stages of life.
As a self-directed team member within Continuing Care in the Edmonton zone, the Registered Nurse collaborates with the healthcare team, with responsibilities including needs assessment, delivering therapeutic nursing services within professional standards, coordinating resources, establishing client goals, and evaluating outcomes. The role involves case management, direct client care, and acting as a clinical expert and team consultant, developing care plans based on unmet needs, and utilizing internal and external resources. The RN participates in staff development and mentoring students. This position is based at the Leduc Home Care office but supports the Suburban/Rural East team, requiring travel to other offices as needed.
Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a broad range of nursing services to patients, families, and communities, ensuring safety and well-being. Your role involves utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, teaching, counseling, and advocating for patients and families. You will support an integrated, holistic approach to care, health promotion, and maintenance, providing safe, quality, patient- and family-centered care aligned with AHS values.
Please note: Provisional Permit Holders will be paid $39.58/hour - $54.16/hour. Upon registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta, pay will be adjusted to the applicable RN rate per AHS/UNA agreements.

Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing program, active or eligible registration with CRNA, current BCLS-HCP, and completion of required refresher courses if applicable.
Additional Qualifications:
Two years recent nursing experience or recent completion of a refresher program, ability to work independently, strong organizational, communication, and assessment skills, computer proficiency, physical ability to perform nursing tasks, and adaptability to various settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Baccalaureate degree preferred; palliative care, geriatric, and continuing care experience valued; familiarity with Connect Care, RAI tools, and case management experience are advantageous.
