Park Place Senior Living is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team in Medicine Hat, Canada. The RN will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and deliver quality, person-centred care to Residents, in collaboration with the care team and physicians.
Responsibilities include direct resident care, medication administration and management, care coordination, participation in quality improvement, and mentorship within the team while upholding Park
In keeping with the Mission, Vision and Values of Park Place, the RN, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, uses the nursing process and apply their knowledge, skills and clinical judgment in performing assessments, planning, implementing and providing quality and person-centered nursing care to the Residents.
The focus and core of all registered nursing practice at Park Place is the provision of direct care to the Residents. The key roles in clinical practice include direct care provider (including medication administration and management), critical thinker, assessor and interpreter, coordinator of care, planner and evaluator, participant, developer and/or leader in quality improvement activities, decision maker and problem solver, Resident advocate, leader and mentor (CRNA, Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses, 2011).
The RN operates in compliance with the competency guidelines and scope of practice as outlined by the relevant provincial governing bodies practice standards and code of ethics and Park Place policies and procedures. The registered nurse will ensure a commitment to safe and quality Resident care as per the Park Place culture of safety and strategic directions.
