A healthcare organization in Okotoks seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care and case management for clients in residential settings. The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree and has extensive experience in home care. Responsibilities include developing client-centered care plans and collaborating with families to ensure quality service. Competitive salary ranging from $43.26 to $59.21 per hour, with a maximum of 38 hours per week and benefits included.
Your Opportunity: This exciting opportunity as Registered Nurse, Designated Float covers planned and unplanned staff absences. Integrated Home Care uses a strength–based Client Centered Case Management practice framework. Using a person-centered approach, you will develop a care plan supporting the client/family to identify needs, focus on strengths, set achievable personal health and self-care goals and provide direct nursing care. In collaboration with the client/family and interdisciplinary team you will ensure services are provided and modified on an ongoing basis, based on client’s response to interventions, incorporating stewardship into service authorization. You will report to the Home Care Manager and will be responsible for coordinating and providing quality care to clients in the community. You will provide nursing assessments, case coordination and direct care in partnership with short term and long-term clients and their families in their own residence or an alternate care setting, as determined by the assessment. The successful incumbent will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: personal and professional accountability, systems thinking, creative thinking, communicating and building relationships, organizational and time management skills, interpersonal skills and intermediate level of computer skills.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Please note that this position supports the communities 130km SE of the Calgary City. Limits and or 80km NE of the City Limits of Lethbridge. The Rural South team is comprised of Diamond Valley, Okotoks, Vulcan. The farthest site is 128 km south of the city.
Note: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $39.58 /hour - $54.16/hour. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
