Responsibilities

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - General Nursing

Department: Nursing / Patient Care

Location: Thunder Bay, ON, Canada

Reports To: Nurse Manager

Salary: CAD $32.55 - $50.25 per hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking compassionate, qualified, and patient-focused Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients across a variety of healthcare settings in Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve positive patient outcomes. This opportunity is suitable for Registered Nurses with current Ontario registration, including nurses who are newly registered and meet the applicable employer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patients' health status.

• Maintain professional standards and comply with applicable legislation, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
• Perform other nursing duties within the scope of practice as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or an approved equivalent nursing qualification.
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Valid registration must be maintained throughout employment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification;
• Demonstrated knowledge of nursing principles, patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Ability to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive, and patient-centred care.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple clinical responsibilities.
• Previous nursing experience is an asset; experience requirements may vary by employer and position.
