Job summary

Backline Outsourcing is actively seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to deliver high-quality nursing care in Ontario. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or an approved equivalent nursing qualification.
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Valid registration must be maintained throughout employment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification;
• Demonstrated knowledge of nursing principles, patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Ability to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive, and patient-centred care.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple clinical responsibilities.
• Previous nursing experience is an asset; experience requirements may vary by employer and position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patients' health status.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and update individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies.
• Monitor and document patients' vital signs, symptoms, progress, and responses to treatment.
• Recognize changes in patients' conditions and take appropriate clinical action.
• Provide direct nursing care while maintaining patient safety, dignity, privacy, and comfort.
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, health conditions, and discharge plans.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient documentation.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures and workplace health and safety standards.
• Participate in patient discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Assist with emergency situations and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Maintain professional standards and comply with applicable legislation, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
• Perform other nursing duties within the scope of practice as assigned.
