The Brenda Strafford Foundation (BSF) is a charitable organization that currently owns and operates five Aging Care & Senior Living communities in Calgary, AB, and Okotoks, AB. Locally, in Calgary, BSF also operates Alberta’s largest second-stage shelter providing safe shelter and comprehensive support services to women and children leaving abuse and violence. The Registered Nurse is a leader within the nursing team and a key member of the interdisciplinary team, assisting in creating an environment of personalized quality care and services, engaging residents and families through positive interactions and individualized relationships. As a leader, the Registered Nurse ensures that comprehensive, person-centred, holistic assessments result in a timely individualized plan of care that is implemented and evaluated to optimize personal well-being.
