A healthcare organization in Big River, Saskatchewan is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide a wide variety of nursing services. The role involves critical thinking, problem-solving, and patient advocacy within a multidisciplinary team. Experience in emergency care and an accredited nursing program is essential. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the RN plays a key role in support of an integrated holistic approach to the patient’s health care, health promotion and health maintenance. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe quality care following the policies and guidelines of AHS. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications: 2 years experience in emergency department is required. Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skill to work independently and as a team.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the following departments is an asset: acute care, intensive care, continuing care, and psychiatry and a willingness to learn new skills as required. Ability to work shift work and meet the physical demands of the job.
