Job summary

Brightshores Health System in Markdale is seeking a Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to perform diagnostic tests, collect samples, and interpret results to support diagnosis, treatment and patient safety.

You will work in a collaborative lab team, maintain accurate records, adhere to CMLTO and IQMH standards, and contribute to quality improvement and risk management initiatives as part of hospital-wide programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science completed and registered
• Current registration with CMLTO (College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario)
• Eligible in Clinical Chemistry and Hematology disciplines
• CAMLPR Certification (Ontario)
• Experience with lab software systems and phlebotomy
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and handle high-pressure situations
• Commitment to patient safety and hospital policies

Responsibilities

• Collect samples and perform diagnostic tests on patient specimens
• Analyse and interpret test results to assist diagnosis and treatment
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation
• Ensure quality patient care and adherence to safety standards
• Participate in quality improvement and risk management initiatives
