Job summary

The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator for full-time, hourly work at multiple locations in Greater Sudbury. You will support children's development through play-based learning, healthy living, and positive relationships with families.

As part of a dynamic team, you will ensure health and safety standards, maintain attendance, and deliver YMCA programs such as Playing to Learn and Healthy Childhood Development.

Qualifications

• ECE Diploma or equivalent required.
• Member in good standing with College of ECE.
• Minimum 2 years experience with children/youth.
• Current Standard First Aid with Infant and Child CPR (Level C).
• Knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision to ensure Child health and safety.
• Keep attendance records and head counts.
• Deliver engaging programs using YMCA curricula.
• Track development and communicate with families and partners.
• Follow YMCA policies and relevant acts and health guidelines.
• Conduct daily safety scans of spaces before/after programming.
• Sanitize toys and maintain safe environment.
• Record and document incidents and health data.
• Share updates with families using Weemarkable.
• Support team with other duties as assigned.
