Options Community Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering social services across the Southern Fraser region (Surrey, Delta, White Rock and Langley) from early childhood to seniors. Position Overview

Nourish lives, inspire wellness. We’re seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to deliver expert nutrition education and personalized counselling that supports clients’ health and well-being. In this impactful role, you’ll be a trusted resource for both clients and staff—developing tailored nutrition programs, coordinating community initiatives, and collaborating with health professionals to create positive, lasting change. Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will evaluate, develop, and manage nutrition education resources while assessing referrals to determine appropriate counselling. They will conduct client interviews to identify health and support needs, build trusting relationships, and provide personalized nutrition counselling and referrals. The Dietitian collaborates with community professionals to coordinate care, maintains accurate client records, and actively participates in group support programs like Lunch Club and Community Kitchen. Additionally, they attend staff and community meetings and work closely with the Program Manager to monitor caseloads and client progress.

Qualifications
  • University degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
  • Completed an accredited dietetic internship
  • Registered member of the BC College of Dietitians
  • Experience in community nutrition
  • Strong nutrition counselling and group facilitation skills, with knowledge of prenatal, postpartum, and infant nutrition
  • Non-judgmental, supportive, and empowering approach; able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills; experience developing program materials and maintaining accurate client records; able to adhere to policies
  • Organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality; respectful of cultural diversity
  • Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle; First Aid and FoodSafe certificates
  • Second language proficiency is an asset
  • Requires a Police Information Check (PIC) and a Vulnerable Sector Check
