Job summary

Princess Dental is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to promote vitality and patient confidence. You will assess oral health, develop care plans, and provide preventive treatments in a welcoming clinic environment, educating patients on lifelong oral hygiene.

Ideal candidates are Registered Dental Hygienists in Manitoba or eligible, with a warm, upbeat presence and a passion for helping others achieve healthier smiles in a private practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on brushing, flossing and preventive care.
• Collaborate with dentists on treatment needs.
• Provide post-treatment care instructions and encouragement.
• Maintain infection control and sterilize instruments.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients with warmth, easing any nerves and helping them feel at home
• Review medical and dental histories, discuss patient concerns, and assess oral and periodontal health
• Develop individualized dental hygiene care plans and provide scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance
• Provide polishing and fluoride treatments as indicated
• Take dental X-rays and maintain accurate periodontal charting and patient records
• Teach personalized brushing, flossing, and preventive care habits to support lifelong oral health
• Collaborate with dentists and the team on patient concerns, treatment needs, and ongoing care
• Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions and encouragement for their ongoing vitality
• Follow infection prevention protocols, sterilize instruments, and keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and stocked

Qualifications

• Registration with the College of Dental Hygienists of Manitoba, or eligibility to be obtained before starting
• An interest in private practice health care and enjoy patient care and interaction
