Job summary

Coaldale Dental Centre in Coaldale, AB is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the dentist, prepare rooms, and maintain patient records. You would be joining a well established practice with two local established female dentists and a supportive staff.

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited dental assistant program.
• 1–2+ years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist, set up equipment, prepare patient for treatment, and keep records.
• Prepare patient, sterilize or disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist dentist during dental procedures.
• Record treatment information in patient records.
• Take and record patient’s medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Assist dentist in management of medical or dental emergencies.
• Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.
• Order and monitor dental supplies and equipment inventory.
• Fabricate temporary restorations or custom impressions
• Take impressions for study models and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.
• Pour, trim, and polish casts.
• Clean and polish removable appliances.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
