DEPARTMENT: Health Clinic - Dental

JOB SUMMARY: Dental Assistants perform a variety of supportive duties, which facilitate the work of the dentist. Dental Assistants provide chairside assistance during treatment, provide patient service and perform clinic maintenance, recordkeeping and radiographic duties.

COMPENSATION: $DOE

The Signing Bonus is paid out in two installments:

1. 1st installment of the bonus is paid on your FIRST paycheck.
2. 2nd installment of the bonus is paid after successful completion of your 90-day probationary period.

Eligibility:

• Signing bonuses are for select positions only and will be indicated on the job posting.
• Current Employee department transfers are not eligible for signing bonus.
• Any former Employee who has resigned or been dismissed within the past 12 months is not eligible for a signing bonus.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of credentialed assisting program.

MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE:

• Six (6) months dental assisting experience preferred, new graduates of credentialed assisting programs accepted.
• Six (6) months experience utilizing Dentrix EDR or similar software.
• Six (6) months experience utilizing digital x-rays.
• Experience working with Native American population.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:

• WA State Dental Assisting Certification from a credentialed dental assisting program.
• Registered Dental Assisting License.
• CPR/First Aid Certificate.
• Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray.
• HIPAA certification upon hire.
• Must abide by the Tulalip Tribes vaccination policy.
• Must complete required Health Services credentialing process prior to start date.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
