Battlefords Dental Centre in Saskatchewan is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians with room preparation, instrument handling, and patient comfort, while ensuring a clean, safe workflow.

The role includes taking dental X-rays, assisting dentists and hygienists, updating charts, and participating in infection control, scheduling, and administrative tasks, with a strong emphasis on patient education and care.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
