A regional health authority seeks a Registered Care Aide to provide care for residents in long-term care. The role involves performing nursing procedures, assisting with daily living activities, and requires registration with the BC Care Aide Registry. In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Registered Care Aide provides resident care in accordance with resident-centred care philosophy and established regional and facility policies and procedures. As part of the multidisciplinary team and under the direction of the Manager or designate, the Registered Care Aide performs nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse and respiration in addition to resident care duties relating to activities of daily living, including personal, social, physical and recreational needs. Transports residents and performs clerical duties.
Must have current registration with the BC Care Aide Registry
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Evenings, 16:30 to 21:00 (rotating)
