Job description

The Behaviour Company is dedicated to applying evidence-based practices to help individuals make meaningful changes in their lives. We offer intensive treatment services at our live-in group homes for youth with mental health diagnoses, developmental disabilities, psychiatric disorders, dual diagnoses, and complex trauma histories. We maintain a person-centered, evidence-based, and trauma-informed approach, and work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide tailored treatment services for each individual. The Behaviour Company owns and operates group homes in Halton Hills & Cambridge and is expanding operations in Kitchener and Barrie.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Registered Behaviour Analyst (Ont.) in good standing. The Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) will be responsible for conducting comprehensive trauma-informed behaviour assessments, developing behaviour intervention plans and treatment programs, and monitoring & presenting on client progress. The RBA will provide ongoing training and coaching to all program managers and implementers. The RBA will work closely with our Program Managers (IBTs), Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Sexuality Therapist & Education Consultant.

The successful candidate will be required to travel to all our group home locations including Halton Hills, Cambridge, Kitchener and Barrie.

Qualifications

  • Experience in behaviour assessments, behaviour intervention plans, and therapeutic programming
  • Experience and knowledge of Dr. Hanley's methods including Practical Functional Assessments & Skill-Based Treatment.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based and best practices in behaviour analysis
  • Expertise in trauma-informed and compassionate practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Active registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts (CPBAO) as a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) in Ontario, in good standing
  • Master's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or related field
  • Experience working with children and youth with mental health, psychiatric, or developmental disabilities and complex trauma
