Your Opportunity:

Description:

As an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP), you will assess emergency scenes and patients, transport ill or injured patients between scenes and facilities, and operate ambulances or other transportation modes. Responsibilities include administering medications, advanced life support (ALS) airway adjuncts, electrical therapy, and leading the ALS crew during patient transport or at emergency scenes. You will ensure ambulances and EMS vehicles are properly stocked and equipped. The environment is demanding, with exposure to weather, traffic, industrial equipment, hazardous scenes, bodily fluids, and physically strenuous tasks such as lifting up to 105 lbs, kneeling, bending, twisting, and carrying supplies. You must be prepared for remote locations and challenging conditions.

Required Qualifications:

• Non-restricted registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACOP) as an ACP in good standing
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP)
• Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator License or equivalent, with a recent (within 6 months) driver abstract showing no more than 6 demerits
• Proof of successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test via Lifemark, no more than 6 months prior to application
