Job Description

As an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP), you will assess emergency scenes and patients, transport ill or injured individuals, operate ambulances, and provide advanced treatments including medications, airway management, and electrical therapy. You may lead the ALS crew during patient care and ensure EMS vehicles are properly stocked. The environment is physically demanding and includes exposure to various weather conditions, hazardous scenes, and bodily fluids. You must be able to lift up to 105 lbs, kneel, bend, and perform other physically strenuous tasks.

Qualifications
  • Non-restricted registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics as an ACP
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator License or equivalent, with a recent driver abstract
  • Proof of completing the F.A.R.E. test within the last 6 months
Preferred Qualifications
  • EMS experience in the North Zone within the past 3 years
  • Experience in rural/suburban emergency and inter-facility transport environments
  • Additional EMS or leadership training
  • Interest in working in the North Zone
