Job description

In Home Assisted Living Inc. of Belleville is looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our team. As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), you will support our clients by providing personal care within a private home setting in Belleville. This part-time position starts with 2 days per week.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing personal and nursing care for clients at home
  2. Assisting with complex medical care issues
  3. Supporting independence, dignity, and emotional health
  4. Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and their families
  5. Providing companionship and assistance with mobility using aids like a Hoyer lift and wheelchair
  6. Assisting with bathing, hygiene, and medication administration

Requirements for success:

  • RPN Certification recognized by the CNO
  • Experience with mobility transfers
  • Strong reading and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols

Additional responsibilities:

  • Assistance with personal care, hygiene, and grooming
  • Light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Medication reminders
  • Supporting clients with mobility and transfers
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Responding to emergencies
  • Completing shift reports for case managers

Preferred qualifications:

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate, Healthcare Aide, DSW, foreign-trained nurses, or caregiving experience
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to follow care plans and problem-solve effectively
