Job description

Responsibilities

As the RVP, Operations, you will lead the execution of operational procedures and strategy for your regional portfolio and be held accountable to its achievement; inclusive of determining revenue and occupancy metrics, growth objectives, asset quality assurance, customer service, retention, community development, and more. The successful incumbent will be an effective people and data leader with a strong financial acumen. Responsibilities include:

  • Support the VP, Operations in communicating and executing upon corporate objectives.
  • Provide operational/sales direction for Regional Operations Managers (ROMs) to ensure measurable KPI targets are achieved.
  • Deploy all aspects of asset management strategy. Oversee, analyze, and develop upon the performance of facilities within the region.
  • Responsible for tracking, interpreting, and conducting budget reviews while keeping track of revenue margins to maximize profits.
  • Run, analyze, and make recommendations regarding the performance of the facilities, including factors such as occupancy, delinquencies, and financial position.
  • Promote us within the community by building a strong culture and reputation that reflects and fosters our core values.
  • Enforce standardization of operational processes for the existing portfolio and onboarding of new acquisitions.
  • Support ROMs with employee relations issues and oversee regional workforce planning and approvals, under the direction of the executive team.
  • Lead through demonstrated best-in-class delivery standards in areas of customer service, maintenance, and store operations.
  • Oversee the deployment of training and education for ROMs and demonstrate strong mentorship abilities to support success in their roles.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • 5+ years' experience in a regional leadership role managing a geographically diverse operation within storage, retail, hospitality, or food & beverage industries.
  • Facility management/maintenance experience with an understanding of capital management is required.
  • Proven business financials and data analytics proficiency within sales, P&L, and capital management.
  • Systems and technology savvy; experience using programs like Yardi, Site Link, and Call Potential are an asset. Proven confidence in alternative industry systems will be considered as well.
  • Advanced knowledge of excel, with comfort in all MS office suite products including SharePoint.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to coach developing leaders and present to an executive audience.
  • Employment references and criminal record check are conducted as part of our selection process but may not be a disqualifying factor.
  • Driver's license and clean drivers abstract required.
