Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Regional Vice President for the Royal Trust Corporation of Canada, overseeing the British Columbia region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of senior managerial experience within a business development environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach and develop Trust Professionals, ensuring team skills, knowledge, and accreditations are current and meet market needs.
  • Build effective teams through active recruitment and support of development via sales and relationship management routines.
  • Demonstrate business acumen by understanding market competition, client offers, and employee benefits.
  • Model key behaviors of top performers, including client-first approach, collaboration, and development of others.
  • Ensure Trust Professionals' capabilities by fostering relationships with RBC business partners for referral success.
  • Develop and execute strategic market plans to meet sales and revenue targets aligned with overall business strategy.
  • Increase market share relative to competitors.
  • Lead the implementation of client experience, sales, and estate and trust strategies.
  • Take ownership of client concerns, ensuring escalation processes are followed to deliver a differentiated client experience.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through Centers of Influence and RBC partnerships.
  • Promote a shared risk management culture.
  • Adhere to procedures related to payroll, compensation, and client scripting.
  • Participate in business acceptance to ensure profitability within RBC’s risk appetite.
  • Maintain effective relationships with operational, risk management, and compliance teams, addressing issues promptly and coaching the team accordingly.
  • Stay updated on RBC policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Must have:

  • 10+ years of senior managerial experience
  • Trust and estate experience (preferred)
  • Financial planning and wealth management experience (preferred)
  • Experience in the financial industry
  • Experience managing a P&L
  • Based in Vancouver

Nice to have:

  • TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) certification (preferred)
