We have an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager - Southwest Ontario.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) Develops and maintains long-term relationships with established customers in Ontario. The RSM continually expands customer account base by establishing consultative selling relationships and making effective sales presentations.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Makes consultative sales in-person on all company accounts; including supportive and non-supportive customers, related to the industry.
- Ensures all communication with new and existing customers is logged into a CRM system
- Builds the customer relationship by quickly establishing trust, credibility, integrity, and comfort; and by demonstrating dignity and respect. Positively relates to and responds to customer challenges and objections.
- Secures and develops new accounts through networks and market interaction within established territory. Makes cold and networking calls, and presentations with potential customers. For continue growth in this region, new accounts need to be generated every month.
- Maintains and operates the company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
- Assists the accounts receivable department by providing field information on the status of a particular customer group.
- Assists in the annual preparation and finalization of the formal sales budget for the territory.
- Organizes business expenses for Company reimbursement (e.g., sales presentations, accommodation expenses, vehicle fuel).
- Participates in the activities of the Drainage Associations, including open houses, golf tournaments, trade shows, and educational courses.
- Continually analyzes and assesses the sales territory for market sales expansion opportunities (new customer accounts).
- Onsite technical support for clients and to the design and construction communities
- Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
- Provide input for new product development
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Agriculture, Arts, Business Administration or related discipline from a college or university.
- Combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- 1 - 3 years sales and/or marketing experience; preferably in Agriculture product manufacturing or technically related field.
- Background in Agriculture and technical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, WERPs, Internet/Intranet).
- Advanced communication and listening skills; both oral and written, to communicate and present clearly and persuasively. Able to attentively and actively listen and has patience to ask data-gathering questions to ensure understanding congruence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, which involves the ability to effectively interact with persons at all levels of the organization and for relationship building is required.
- Solid organizational, and time and priority management skills are needed to organize and plan workload priorities on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis.
- Familiarity with contact management systems
- Cost-containment and effectiveness with sales budgets and business expenses.
