SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Manager - Distribution position, overseeing all sales in the region - with the goal of producing top sales results. All Outside Sales Representatives in the region report directly into this position. The main focus of the role is to lead the outside sales team in the province of Québec and all four branches, with the aim to maximize profits (EBITDA) and ROI to grow the business in the entire region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Maintain a safe working environment
  2. Conduct all business in accordance with Company policy and procedures - champion the Company’s culture and values
  3. Generate world class financial results through leadership focused on people and customers, in full alignment with the RBS business model
  4. Execute appropriate strategies and actions with aim to increase sales and manage assets to achieve desired ROI and bonus targets
  5. Drive meaningful enhancements in efforts to boost revenue, expand market share, and strengthen customer bonds and loyalty
  6. Direct, mentor, and coach outside and inside sales teams of entire region
  7. Maintain consistent interaction with customers and sales employees to build and solidify relationships with significant players in the industry
  8. Develop strong business relationships with each of the buying groups and largest customers to help drive increased sales and build customer loyalty.
  9. Meet regularly with outside sales team to review strategy and execution of growth plans
  10. Identify new markets with aim to increase market share
  11. Be an active member of the Distribution leadership team and take part in developing business strategy for the distribution business
  12. Hire and develop employees to create high performing teams
  13. Foster excellence in customer and employee satisfaction

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 10+ years of relevant experience within sales, sales management in a business-to-business sales environment
  2. Experience in the building industry a strong asset
  3. Fluently bilingual – French & English
  4. Ability to establish and maintain successful relationships with customers and vendors
  5. Capability of leading high performing teams
  6. Solid business acumen to effectively interpret financial report data to determine success/failure of plans and follow-up with appropriate actions and adjustments to ensure success
  7. Drive employee satisfaction by coaching and developing staff members to achieve their full potential
  8. Possess strong entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for driving sales within the region, as if managing own venture
  9. Excel in an environment that promotes proactivity and supports well-considered risk-taking
